TTA discusses AI-based broadcast technology standardisation strategy
The Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) said it held a joint workshop in Seoul on July 22 to review development directions for broadcast technology in the AI era and discuss international standardisation strategies for next-generation services. About 70 participants from government, broadcasters, research institutes and companies attended. Presentations covered generative AI in production and services, a “Beyond TV” vision, and related platform and broadcast technologies. Attendees also shared Brazil’s TV 3.0 trends using ATSC 3.0.

Science ministry hosts 2026 World Korean Scientists and Engineers Conference
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT held the 2026 World Korean Scientists and Engineers Conference on July 7 at the Korea Science and Technology Center in Seoul. The event, running through July 8, is hosted by the Korea Federation of Science and Technology Societies and 20 overseas Korean scientists and engineers associations. MSIT briefs science and technology societies on built-infrastructure R&D screening system
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT held a briefing on May 12 in Seoul for science and technology academic societies on a full lifecycle screening system for built-infrastructure R&D projects, after the abolition of preliminary feasibility studies for R&D. The ministry outlined a new tailored pre-check system and detailed operating plans for built-infrastructure reviews. It also introduced a model to link field input to government project planning.
