Korea Investment Securities to hold Korea-China investment strategy forum with Guotai Haitong Securities

Korea Investment Securities said it will hold a Korea-China investment strategy forum with China’s full-service brokerage Guotai Haitong Securities from June 15 to 17. The event aims to expand investment exchanges between the two countries’ capital markets and provide market information to domestic and foreign investors. Guotai Haitong analysts will present strategies in sectors including autos, AI, robots and IT, with Chinese firms taking part.

Korea Investment Securities introduced an installment-based issued note service in the KakaoBank app. The service allows customers with a KakaoBank partner account to automatically invest in issued note products on predetermined dates via the app. The investment period is 1 year and it offers a pre-tax annual yield of 4.35 percent as of June 15. Monthly contributions range from 100,000 won to 10 million won.

Coinone becomes latest crypto exchange target in stake-buying race after Dunamu

Moves by South Korean financial firms to secure stakes in digital asset exchanges are accelerating as expectations grow that the separation of finance and digital assets may ease. Coinone held a signing ceremony for a strategic equity investment deal with Korea Investment Securities, OKX Ventures and Com2uS Holdings. Korea Investment Securities and OKX Ventures will each acquire 20 percent. The deal reshapes Coinone’s ownership while keeping CEO Cha Myung-hoon as the largest shareholder.
