Toss shares digital finance operations with Philippines central bank, World Bank

Viva Republica, operator of South Korean fintech app Toss, said a delegation made up of officials from the Philippines central bank and the World Bank visited Toss on April 22 to review its digital financial services operations. The visit was part of a payment system training programme hosted by the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute. The delegation examined Toss’ one-app structure and risk management, including transaction monitoring and an AI-based fraud detection model.

KT overhauls organisation, cuts executive ranks about 30 percent to focus on renewal and efficiency

KT said on Monday it will carry out a 2026 organisational overhaul and executive appointments to become South Korea\'s top AX platform company. It said the changes focus on personnel renewal, improving management efficiency and strengthening field management centred on customer service and quality. KT said it will replace department heads reporting to the CEO, cut executive-level organisations by about 30 percent, integrate security functions and reorganise AI R&D.

Naver Pay opens credit loan refinancing service for sole proprietors

Naver Pay said on Tuesday it has opened a credit loan refinancing service for sole proprietors. The service automatically retrieves business type and income information from the National Tax Service via the Naver Certificate, without separate input, and can also check existing loan details through the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute system. After users make a final selection on Npay, subsequent procedures are handled by the relevant financial company.
