South Korea, Vietnam to step up science and technology cooperation, masterplan unveiled

South Korea will move to expand cooperation with Vietnam in advanced fields such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, secondary batteries and biotech. The Ministry of Science and ICT and the foreign ministry held a Korea-Vietnam science and technology innovation forum in Hanoi with Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology and shared a masterplan for mid- to long-term cooperation. The masterplan focuses on follow-up support for VKIST, joint research, talent development and infrastructure.

South Korea, France mark 140 years of ties with stronger alliance in AI and quantum

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said it held the ninth Korea-France Joint Committee on Science and Technology with France\'s higher education, research and space ministry in Seoul on Thursday. The meeting, held on the 140th anniversary of diplomatic ties and during a French presidential visit, reviewed policy cooperation and discussed expanding collaboration in AI, quantum and basic science. Korean institutions signed MOUs with France\'s CNRS, and KAIST and Quandela agreed to deepen quantum manufacturing cooperation.

South Korea, Vietnam hold 10th joint committee on science and technology

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said it held the 10th Korea-Vietnam Joint Committee on Science and Technology in Hanoi on Wednesday with Vietnam\'s Ministry of Science and Technology. The two sides discussed future directions for cooperation and shared their science and technology policies and the status of joint work. They also discussed preparing a mid- to long-term comprehensive plan and agreed on building a package-style cooperation system.
