NH NongHyup Financial launches \'NH Financial Hub\' in North Jeolla to support affiliates\' comprehensive finance
NH NongHyup Financial Group launched an \'NH Financial Hub\' in North Jeolla Special Self-Governing Province, bringing together the capabilities of its banking, insurance, securities and asset management affiliates. The group said the hub aligns with the government\'s \'5 poles and 3 special zones\' balanced growth policy and will provide comprehensive financial services for local future strategic industries and companies. It also plans special contributions to regional guarantee funds and will expand cooperation with the National Pension Service and Jeonbuk National University.

Jeonbuk physical AI pilot lab tests autonomous factory operations
Jeonbuk National University is testing technology that adds autonomous judgement to automated factories at its Physical AI Manufacturing Technology Pilot Lab in Jeonju. The 846-square-metre facility links robot arms, autonomous mobile robots, sensors and machine tools to share production plans and detect abnormalities. It can recommend responses, with plans to develop technology to directly adjust equipment and optimise multiple processes. The programme will expand through 2030 with central government funding.

National Science and Technology Advisory Council holds first PACST science and technology forum
South Korea’s National Science and Technology Advisory Council held the first PACST Science and Technology Forum with the Science and Technology Policy Institute in Seoul on Wednesday. The forum was set up to review the purpose and direction of national research and development over the past 60 years and to seek a future science and technology policy vision. It plans to hold four PACST forums in total through year-end, with sessions scheduled for Sept. 30, Nov. 4 and Dec. 16.
