Only 3 in 10 South Koreans use AI in consumer life, regional gaps also seen
Most consumers in South Korea say they are aware of artificial intelligence, but only about 3 in 10 use it in daily life or work, an analysis showed. The Korea Consumer Agency found 86.8% of respondents said they know AI, while 32.3% said they make important use of generative AI in consumption and work. AI purchase experience reached 75.3%, with lower use and purchase rates in Honam.

Bithumb Nanum holds spring volunteer event for seniors in Jeju
Bithumb Nanum said on March 9 it held a volunteer event inviting elderly residents in Jeju to share a meal and take part in activity programs. The event was held on March 6 at Dongjeju Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Gujwa-eup, Jeju City, for 30 vulnerable seniors. The program focused on seniors living alone who face difficulty traveling. Participants were also given hooded zip-up tops and bedding sets.

Korea Post to issue commemorative stamps featuring Jeju oreum
The Ministry of Science and ICT\'s Postal Service will issue 480,000 commemorative stamps on Feb. 27 featuring two Jeju oreum, Jimi-bong and Baekyaki Oreum. The stamps show full images of the volcanic cones photographed from the air by drone. Jimi-bong, in Jeju City, is known for a horseshoe-shaped crater and views of nearby landmarks. Baekyaki Oreum, in Seogwipo, has a wide, deep circular crater and a gentle slope. The stamps will be permanent, non-denominated issues usable without extra payment for mail weighing more than 5 grams and up to 25 grams.
