[Digital Today reporter Oh Sang-yup (오상엽)] Bithumb Nanum said on March 9 it held volunteer work inviting seniors in the Jeju area to share a meal and take part in an activity program.

On March 6, it held a spring sharing event with 30 vulnerable elderly residents at Dongjeju Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Gujwa-eup, Jeju City.

The program was designed mainly for seniors living alone who have difficulty traveling due to geographic conditions or limited mobility. Bithumb Nanum supported round-trip transportation using the welfare center’s vehicles and assigned on-site staff to help ensure safe participation.

Bithumb Nanum provided a buffet meal for the seniors, with items including sliced raw fish, abalone, LA galbi, boiled pork and chili shrimp.

After the meal, a laughter class and a rice cake making program followed. It also provided hooded zip-up tops and bedding sets to 30 vulnerable seniors.

A Bithumb Nanum official said, "We worked with local welfare institutions to create an opportunity for seniors to eat together and take part in activity programs." The official added, "We plan to continue expanding social contribution activities linked to local communities."
