Kyobo Lifeplanet shifts Laplay insurance marketing platform to AWS, steps up push overseas

Kyobo Lifeplanet Life Insurance, a digital life insurer without agents, said it has shifted its digital insurance marketing platform Laplay to Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure and is stepping up expansion of the solution for overseas insurers. The company upgraded its architecture to a microservices structure and built a multi-country independent deployment environment. Laplay combines health-management rewards and content with gamified missions to help users earn points usable for premiums and everyday purchases.

USDT supply hits record high as stablecoin use expands

Tether’s dollar-pegged stablecoin USDT has reached a record circulation of $188 billion, its CEO confirmed. Supply has risen from early March levels and follows earlier declines in January and February that Tether described as a strategic repositioning. Tether and external data show the company manages about $187 billion in assets and earned more than $10 billion in profit in 2025. Stablecoin use is expanding beyond exchange liquidity into payments, remittances and financial infrastructure, including work by DoorDash and Tempo and moves by major payments firms.

ITCEN Core, Korea Compliance Certification Institute unveil digital compliance integration strategy

ITCEN Core said on Wednesday it unveiled a digital-based integrated compliance management strategy with the Korea Compliance Certification Institute to respond to a tightening global regulatory environment. It presented a next-generation roadmap covering corporate risk, from ESG evaluation response to real-time risk monitoring, at a joint seminar held on April 15. The strategy focuses on building a digital risk management system based on data integrity to detect and prevent risks in real time.
