Thailand allows spot crypto ETFs, but approval this year uncertain

Thailand has implemented a framework allowing spot exchange-traded funds tied to bitcoin and ether, but no asset manager has submitted a formal application. The Thai Securities and Exchange Commission said several firms asked for preliminary consultations, but none moved to the filing stage. The SEC said it was too early to judge whether the first ETF could be approved this year, adding the timing could vary depending on applicant readiness, regulatory review and investor protection requirements.

Bitcoin spot ETFs see third straight day of net inflows as October turns positive

Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds recorded $1.08 billion of net inflows over three trading sessions, turning October’s cumulative flow back to a net inflow. Net inflows on Oct. 22 totalled $528 million, following $526.6 million on Oct. 20 and $23 million on Oct. 21. October cumulative inflows reached $461 million, while year-to-date net inflows rose to $1.34 billion. BlackRock’s IBIT led inflows, while Ethereum and Solana spot ETFs also returned to net inflows.

Bitcoin spot ETFs snap two-week streak of net outflows led by BlackRock

Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds posted net inflows of $526.7 million on Oct. 20, the biggest daily intake in about a month. Cointelegraph reported the move reversed two straight weeks of weekly net outflows. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust led inflows with $665.2 million, while Fidelity’s FBTC and Grayscale’s GBTC recorded outflows. October totals for bitcoin spot ETFs remain in net outflow. Ethereum spot ETFs also saw outflows on the day.
