Kakao Mobility steps up shift into robotics company

Kakao Mobility is accelerating a shift beyond mobility platforms toward robotics, with CEO Ryoo Geung-seon (류긍선) declaring a push to lead the physical AI era and secure technology sovereignty. The company says its data, mapping and road network information, operational standardisation and infrastructure can underpin robotics. It has built a commercial robot delivery model with Robotis at premium hotels and is expanding partnerships. Kakao Mobility is also strengthening autonomous driving capabilities.

JobPlanet announces 2026 awards, names 31 best companies to work for

JobPlanet, a career platform operated by AI and data-based HR tech platform Worksphere, said on March 10 it held the 2026 JobPlanet Awards and announced 31 companies ranked in the top 0.01 percent of workplaces among 470,000 firms nationwide. The awards, introduced last year, aim to provide reliable indicators for job seekers. Categories were expanded to four: pay and benefits, work-life balance, career growth and recruitment experience.

Foreigners net sell 9 trillion won this year despite KOSPI rally

Foreign investors have been net sellers of South Korean stocks this year despite a record rally in the KOSPI, unloading more than 9.16 trillion won through Feb. 20, Korea Exchange data showed. They also sold KOSPI200 futures. Sales were concentrated in Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. Analysts said the selling likely reflects short-term rebalancing and profit-taking rather than a bet on a sustained decline, though some warn of overheating risks.
