Humanoid robot commercialisation still far off; industry cites 5 challenges
Humanoid robots are drawing attention as a next-generation industry, but analysts say gradual field deployment is needed rather than rushed commercialisation. TechRadar said the sector could eventually rival automotive and computing, but remains short of mass adoption due to technology, cost and regulation. It urged a “crawl, walk, run” approach. Key issues include stable mobility, precise hand control, integrated cognition, economic viability and regulatory and social acceptance.
