Chinese technology becomes harder for global firms to ignore, from Apple to Ford
Chinese technology is rapidly seeping into the supply chains of major global companies, centered on AI, electric vehicle batteries and automotive software, CNBC reported. Apple uses Alibaba and Baidu for AI services in China, while Ford has adopted CATL battery technology. Analysts and researchers cited scale, integrated supply chains and development speed, and said adoption is driven by performance and compliance as well as market access, even as U.S. restrictions tighten.

Jensen Huang sees GPUs like real estate; China is biggest variable in $500 billion AI financing
Nvidia is pushing a financing structure to support a $500 billion pipeline for data centres and GPU clusters, framing its AI chips as long-term investable assets. The plan rests on the assumption that GPUs can hold value like real assets rather than depreciating quickly. Analysts flag depreciation as a key risk and cite potential low-cost chip supply from China as the biggest variable. Borrower credit quality is also a factor.

China\'s top AI still dependent on Nvidia as shift to domestic chips slows
Many of China’s most advanced AI models are still being trained on Nvidia chips, as local developers struggle to switch because of the cost and technical burden of moving away from Nvidia’s CUDA software ecosystem, the South China Morning Post reported. Engineers said migrating training workflows to Huawei’s Ascend platform can require extensive code rewrites and raise time and costs by at least 50 percent. The report said domestication is progressing faster in inference than in training.
