Bitcoin ETF flows track price trends rather than signal direction, analysis finds

Bitcoin spot exchange-traded fund flows appear to follow existing price trends rather than act as a leading indicator, an analysis found. DWF Labs reviewed 694 trading days since spot ETFs launched in January 2024. Outflows occurred in 7 of 8 instances when bitcoin fell 15 percent or more, while inflows were recorded in all 9 periods of gains of 15 percent or more. The correlation with prior five-day moves was 0.54, versus 0.03 for subsequent five-day moves.

CoinShares says Bitcoin rally needs fiscal worry-driven inflows, not rate outlook

Europe\'s largest digital asset manager CoinShares said Bitcoin\'s rally will need fresh inflows driven by fiscal concerns rather than interest rate expectations. It said $11.1 billion has flowed into crypto funds since mid-July but momentum has weakened this week amid a sharp rise in U.S. Treasury yields. CoinShares cited mixed signals from softer employment, persistent inflation and fiscal uncertainty, and said bond markets could ultimately have the biggest impact.

CME to launch Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures, expand altcoin lineup

CME Group plans to add Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures, pending regulatory review, with trading set for Oct. 19. The products will be offered in standard and micro-sized contracts. CME said it is targeting institutional and trader demand for altcoin exposure in a regulated market. It cited growth in crypto futures and options volumes in the first half of 2026 and said the notional value of expanded altcoin products this year has surpassed $1 billion.
