Naver Labs unveils Kansong Museum VR tour to digitally preserve collection
Naver Labs has launched a virtual reality service that recreates the Kansong Art Museum’s exhibition spaces and cultural heritage as a digital twin, allowing viewing regardless of time and place. Naver Labs and the Kansong Art and Culture Foundation said the VR Tour lets users follow the museum’s visitor route, select exhibits and read descriptions via PC or mobile. It also preserves some artifacts digitally, including a stone lion statue donated to China in July.

CJ Olive Young says foreign sales up 47%, Gangwon surges 105%
CJ Olive Young said foreign customers’ cumulative purchases at its domestic offline stores topped 1 trillion won as of August, three months earlier than last year. It said the January-August number of transactions reached 11.01 million. The top five purchasing countries were the United States, Singapore, Japan, China and Thailand. It said foreign customers accounted for 33 percent of offline sales as of August, up from 2 percent in 2022, with non-capital regions showing larger gains.

Flitto supplies AI translation solution to key Olive Young stores
Flitto said on Aug. 5 it has supplied its AI-based interpretation and translation solution, Chat Translation, to key CJ Olive Young offline stores. The tool has been introduced at major locations in Seoul, Busan and Jeju with large numbers of foreign tourists. It is offered as a beauty consulting-focused version and a staff PDA app version. The solution supports up to 42 languages, Flitto said.
