Nvidia quarterly revenue jumps 85 percent, net profit more than triples
Nvidia posted record revenue and net profit for its fiscal first quarter ended in April, helped by rising data center computing demand as AI agents spread. Quarterly revenue rose 85 percent from a year earlier to $81.6 billion, above analysts’ expectations, while net profit more than tripled to $58.3 billion. Data center growth led results, and networking hardware revenue tripled to a record $14.8 billion.

Anthropic in talks to buy inference chips from UK AI chip startup Fractile
Anthropic is considering adding UK AI chip startup Fractile as a new supplier of AI server chips, alongside Google, Amazon and Nvidia, The Information reported. Citing two people who spoke with Fractile executives, the report said Anthropic recently held talks to buy inference chips that could ship as soon as next year. The report said Anthropic aims to diversify suppliers and improve its negotiating leverage as annual server and chip spending is expected to reach tens of billions of dollars.
