KakaoGames to publish Kong Studio\'s \'Guardian Maiden\' globally
KakaoGames said on Monday it has signed a global publishing deal for Kong Studio\'s upcoming title \'Guardian Maiden\'. Under the agreement, KakaoGames secured publishing rights for South Korea and global markets excluding Greater China. The companies plan to prepare the game for an official launch later this year. \'Guardian Maiden\' is a dot-graphics, collectible action role-playing game being developed for mobile and PC.

Redbrickhouse raises investment from Kakao Ventures to support indie games\' global expansion
Indie game publisher Redbrickhouse said on Monday it has raised financial investment from Kakao Ventures and other investors. Participants include Devsisters Ventures, SmartStudy Ventures, MainStreet Ventures and Zion Investment. The company said it has secured financial backers after earlier attracting strategic investment from Wemade Max. Founded in June, Redbrickhouse said it supports game development, publishing and investment, and aims to help small teams strengthen global distribution capabilities.

Apple Intelligence secures China approval to link with Alibaba Qwen AI
Apple Intelligence has received approval to launch in China by linking with Alibaba’s Qwen AI, TechCrunch reported. China’s internet regulator approved Apple’s AI service in the country based on the partnership with Alibaba. Apple plans to integrate Qwen into iOS, iPadOS, macOS and visionOS. Apple recorded $20.5 billion in revenue in Greater China in the second quarter, up 28 percent from a year earlier.
