AhnLab said on Monday it has added traditional Chinese to the supported languages for its endpoint integrated security platform, AhnLab EPP, to target the Greater China market.

The company said the move follows growing demand in Taiwan and other Greater China markets for AhnLab endpoint security solutions, and is intended to help customers use the platform’s various functions more accurately and easily.

The update applies to major solutions that make up AhnLab EPP, including AhnLab EPPM, AhnLab EPM, AhnLab EPrM, AhnLab EDC and the V3 product line for macOS PCs and Linux servers.

Based on this, Greater China customers can check and manage overall endpoint security operations in a familiar language environment, from security patch management to preventing personal data leaks, device control and management, and malware detection and response, AhnLab explained.

AhnLab EPP currently supports 5 languages: Korean, English, Japanese, and simplified and traditional Chinese.

AhnLab plans to add traditional Chinese to the supported languages for V3 for Windows PCs and servers in June. Since September last year, it has supported traditional Chinese on AhnLab CPS Plus, its integrated security platform for CPS, to meet demand in Greater China for IT-OT convergence CPS security.

Lee Sang-guk (이상국), head of AhnLab’s Marketing & Global Business Division, said that with a range of security needs growing in Taiwan, AhnLab EPP is expected to establish itself as a more attractive option for Greater China customers by providing an optimised language environment and user experience. He said the company will continue expanding its localisation strategy, focusing on regions with strong demand, to strengthen the competitiveness of its global business.
