[Digital Today reporter Lee Ho-jung] Netmarble will showcase its new open-world action RPG, 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin', at 'Taipei Game Show 2026'.

On Tuesday, Netmarble said it will hold its first hands-on demo for local users at the event, which runs in Taipei, Taiwan from Jan. 29 to Feb. 1.

Netmarble will set up demo stations at Sony PlayStation’s booth and present a console-based build. The build supports traditional Chinese to improve convenience for local visitors. Attendees can try early content in which the original story unfolds, along with a vast open-world adventure and boss battle raid combat.

The company plans to use the participation to check the game’s localisation level and gauge its chances of success in the Greater China market, including Taiwan.

The game drew attention after it made Sony’s list of 15 PS5 titles to look forward to for 2026 last December, a rare inclusion for a South Korean game. In an earlier global closed test, 95 percent of participants said they intended to play after the official launch, and it received favourable reviews.

'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' is a multi-player open-world RPG based on the intellectual property (IP) of a popular manga that has sold 55 million copies worldwide.

Netmarble plans to launch it simultaneously in the global market in March on multiple platforms including consoles, PC and mobile. It is currently taking pre-registrations on its official website as well as on Google Play and Apple’s App Store.
