Recursive Intelligence raises $335 million, says it will innovate chip design with AI
AI-based chip design automation startup Recursive Intelligence raised $335 million at a $4 billion valuation four months after it was founded. Co-founders Anna Goldie and Azalia Mirhoseini previously developed AI chip design technology at Google Brain and Anthropic. Recursive builds AI-based chip design tools rather than chips, and Nvidia, AMD and Intel participated in the funding. The company said its platform can automate layout and design verification, and performance improves as it accumulates design experience.
