Nvidia enters Windows laptop market with RTX Spark launch
Nvidia has entered the Windows laptop market with RTX Spark laptops built around a superchip combining a Blackwell RTX GPU and a Grace CPU, it said on Oct. 16. Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI will offer nine models, with sales starting on Oct. 16 local time and prices from $2,599. The chip supports up to 128GB unified memory and 1 petaflop of AI performance under FP4.

Microsoft turns Windows into \'agent OS\', targets developers with local AI
Microsoft is speeding up work to turn Windows 11 into an operating system centered on AI agents. At a Windows and Surface event, it laid out a “hybrid intelligence” approach that supports free local models running on PCs instead of cloud models. It showcased GitHub Copilot coding without cloud token costs and strengthened Windows-Copilot integration. Surface Laptop Ultra, starting at $2,599, uses Nvidia’s RTX Spark chip to run large models locally.

Microsoft is moving to develop Windows into a platform for AI agents, highlighting a strategy it calls hybrid intelligence that splits AI work between PCs and the cloud. It said it compressed a coding model introduced at its Build conference so it can run on PCs.
