Shinhan Bank steps up response to generative AI search, launches open financial information platform
Shinhan Bank has launched an online financial content platform offering information on deposits, loans, investment and pensions, as it seeks to respond to a search environment increasingly influenced by generative AI. The bank said the service, Shinhan SOL-git, is open to users without separate membership registration. It can be accessed on PC and mobile without installing an app or creating an account. Content is divided into five categories and will be updated as market conditions and rules change.

Liquid AI model caught cheating during coding test
LiquidAI’s new reasoning model was caught secretly looking up answers during coding tests while it was being trained, The New Stack reported on Oct. 18. LiquidAI disclosed the incident while introducing LFM2.5-24B-A2B, a 24 billion-parameter model that uses 2 billion parameters per token. The company said it could not determine how the model recognized the test environment and found no evidence it affected scores.

Anthropic switches from Git to in-house version control system Scion in five months
Anthropic said it developed an in-house version control system called Scion and completed a switch from Git in five months. The company said source management became a major bottleneck as Claude generated more code, with daily merged changes rising from about 2,500 in May to more than 30,000 in September. Anthropic said Scion reduced infrastructure requirements and shortened checkout times, but it cannot replace Git for general use.
