Why Google OKF is drawing attention beyond vector databases and RAG

Signs of change are emerging in retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), long treated as a standard for building enterprise AI. Google Cloud has released Open Knowledge Format (OKF), proposing that core enterprise knowledge be managed as a structured knowledge network rather than stored in a vector database for retrieval. Secret Dev wrote that OKF organizes knowledge like a living wiki, using linked documents to navigate required information. It said OKF does not fully replace RAG and the two may be combined.

Three trust vulnerabilities found in Claude Code, Gemini CLI and Codex

A shared trust risk has been identified in three AI coding agents - Claude Code, Gemini CLI and Codex - in which malicious GitHub issues can influence subsequent agent runs. Security firm Nobi Security found trust boundaries can break across tool permissions, sandbox isolation and shared workspaces. Researchers said the structure could enable remote code execution, data leaks and persistent control of follow-on agents. Google rated the issue at CVSS 10.0 and adjusted trust mechanisms.

Oracle adds agentic app development environment to AI Agent Studio

Oracle said on Wednesday it has added a new AI-native builder environment to its AI Agent Studio, enabling customers to develop and operate AI agentic apps within its Fusion Applications enterprise suite. The new environment integrates no-code, low-code and pro-code development in a single Fusion-native framework. It supports natural-language app building, developer tools including Visual Studio Code and CLI, and AI coding tools such as OpenAI Codex and Anthropic Claude Code.
