Shinhan Bank has launched an online content platform providing a range of financial information including deposits and loans, investment and pensions. It is an open service that can be used without separate membership registration. The bank plans to respond to an environment in which information searches via generative artificial intelligence are increasing.

Shinhan Bank said on Monday it has opened its financial content platform, Shinhan SOL-git.

SOL-git covers topics needed for everyday financial decision-making, from financial product information to tax, real estate and asset management. Users can access it on PC and mobile, and do not need to install a dedicated app or create a separate account.

The content is divided into five areas — collecting, growing, borrowing, spending and protecting — to help users find what they need more easily. It also explains financial terms and systems in a way that is easier for ordinary customers to understand, and will revise related content when market conditions or systems change.

Shinhan Bank also reflected changes in the search environment in building the platform. It plans to improve the way information is organized and the quality of content so that search engines and AI can use it more easily, taking into account that more users are entering financial questions into generative AI as well as using existing portal-focused searches.

To do so, it plans to increase participation by internal staff and external expert writers, and to expand the information it provides by analyzing users’ areas of interest and content usage.

A Shinhan Bank official said, "The goal is to provide information customers can refer to when they have questions about finance." The official added, "We will continue to increase content that helps with judgment in real financial life."
