Intel points to wider sales of lower-grade CPUs as AI-driven demand lifts Q1 results
Intel’s improved first-quarter 2026 performance is being linked to expanded sales of CPUs that would typically be discarded or classified at lower grades. Intel posted revenue of $13.6 billion, up 7 percent from a year earlier, and beat market expectations. The report also cited AMD gains in desktops, laptops and servers.
