Google to phase out Gemini custom AI Gems and integrate them into Skills system

Google will gradually discontinue Gems, a custom AI feature in its Gemini service, and integrate it into a new Skills system. Existing user-created Gems will be migrated automatically, allowing continued use without extra steps. TechCrunch reported that Gemini app notices say personal-account Gems will convert to Skills from Nov. 17. Business, enterprise and non-profit Workspace accounts will shift in March 2027, and education accounts in June 2027.

Examples include a family trip planner, a hobby coach, and a film and TV curator. It was also used for image-based outfit planning and to create personal theme songs with a music tool.

Superfast to invest 11.1 billion won to spot indie games, launch \'super IP\' push

Superfast will deploy 11.1 billion won to discover next-generation indie games and invest in and publish selected developers, the company said on May 18. It aims to become an IP-focused cultural company by expanding game intellectual property into content such as webtoons, fashion and offline spaces. Superfast will hold its first demo day in late June and run it as an on-site platform for investment reviews and publishing talks.
