Netmarble said on Tuesday it has officially launched its new mobile idle RPG Stone Age Grow globally, excluding some countries including China.
Stone Age Grow is the latest title based on the Stone Age intellectual property, a long-selling game it said has been enjoyed by 200 million people worldwide. It inherits the original game's feel and core fun, in which pets including dinosaurs appear as partners, while adding a simple, intuitive system so anyone can play easily anytime and anywhere. Key content such as capture and riding has been reinterpreted for the mobile environment.
Players can combine up to 6 trainers and 18 pets to build a large deck of 24 units and pursue their own strategies. Popular original pets such as Mogaros, Berga and Yangiro return with their distinctive traits intact, but in a cuter look aimed at encouraging collection.
The game also offers a range of competitive and cooperative content, including the large-scale raid content Kangnimjeon, in which many pets deploy simultaneously; Cheonggongui Tap, where players compete for the top spot on a server; Yangsikjang, where players target rivals' harvests in real time; and Mekapet Sanyang, in which tribe members join forces to fend off invasions.
To mark the official launch, Netmarble is holding an event in which players can obtain up to 10,000 each of pet draw tickets and Blue Gems, key in-game currencies. It also said players can obtain all pets available as of the launch date as attendance event rewards simply by logging in daily, and will receive the rideable pet Putera as the day-2 attendance reward.
