Neowiz said on Tuesday it officially launched the casual merge game "Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe" in global markets on April 28.
"Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe" is an official sequel that uses the "Cats & Soup" intellectual property, which has surpassed 80 million cumulative downloads globally.
Its core content is merge play and building a "sharehouse". Users obtain "wish stars" through merge play and decorate the sharehouse. The game is available worldwide excluding China, Vietnam and Russia and supports 6 languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese (simplified and traditional) and Spanish.
To mark the official launch, Neowiz will give pre-registrants items including a "Cherry Blossom Shorthair" cat, an exclusive costume, "gems" and "energy". It also plans to support users' early growth by offering a range of events, including Sticker Book Season 1, a sun-filled garden and cats, and a special attendance event.
A Neowiz official said, "It is meaningful to present an official sequel that implements the appeal of the Cats & Soup IP, which has been steadily loved by global users, in a new way." The official added, "We expect it will provide a different healing experience with cats through merge play and sharehouse content."
