Search click-through rate plunges 60 percent; GEO touted as solution for marketing in AI era

Pluszero, a GEO data consulting firm, unveiled an integrated VoC×GEO strategy to counter a search marketing crisis in the AI era. Chief executive Jung Sung-jin said the “zero-click era” is taking hold as users rely on generative AI answers without opening links, with portal search link click-through rates recently plunging 60 percent. He urged marketers to combine SEO with GEO and AEO so AI search engines cite brands first.
