LG to launch AI investment service for retail investors with LSEG and Kiwoom Securities
LG AI Research will pursue a financial AI agent service for retail investors with London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) and Kiwoom Securities. The three parties signed a strategic agreement in Seoul to enhance retail AI investment insights on Kiwoom’s investor platform, expand asset management AI solutions by combining AI and data capabilities, and conduct joint marketing to lead standards in the AI-based investment services market. They expect the initiative to be the first commercial example in South Korea of explainable AI investing.

H Energy unveils AI-based ESS operations solution
Renewable energy platform company H Energy said on Wednesday it unveiled an artificial intelligence-based energy storage system (ESS) operations and management solution at the 2026 EnergyPlus Conference. The event, hosted by the Korea Electrical Manufacturers Association, discussed power system challenges tied to expanding renewables. Chief executive Ham Il-han said greater renewable adoption increases output volatility and grid burdens, and stressed the need to advance operations. He outlined AI-linked ESS using LLM-based forecasting and explainable AI, and said VPP returns could rise 20 to 40 percent.

As AI and big data use grows and privacy rules tighten, Jeongu Maru is positioning its privacy-protecting synthetic data technology as a way to enable both data use and protection. The company was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups-led TIPS programme, raised seed funding and was rated an outstanding firm in the 2025 Startup-Centered University programme run by Hanyang University.
