ESTsoft launches AI shopping assistant with CJ Olive Young
ESTsoft said on Tuesday it will launch a kiosk-style AI shopping assistant with CJ Olive Young. The companies will first introduce it at three stores that draw many foreign visitors: Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station, Apgujeong Central and Ewha Central. The assistant is based on ESTsoft’s real-time conversational AI avatar service, Perso Interactive, and is tailored for retail and the K-beauty market. It supports eight languages and offers personalised recommendations.

Broadcast Media Telecommunications Commission moves to build K-FAST ecosystem to open 47 trillion won overseas market
South Korea\'s Broadcast Media Telecommunications Commission is moving to build an advertising-supported free streaming TV (FAST) ecosystem, saying the media industry needs to develop strategies around global distribution platforms such as FAST as advertising revenue declines. At a corporate meeting in Suwon on June 4, the commission heard views from platform operators, broadcasters, channel operators and technology firms. The global FAST market is forecast to grow to 47 trillion won by 2030 from 18 trillion won in 2025.

Musinsa steps up AI-native push, CTO Jeon Jun-hee vows fashion tech ecosystem
Musinsa is moving to become an AI-native company by designing systems, work methods and products around AI from the outset, its CTO Jeon Jun-hee said. The company has launched conversational commerce on KakaoTalk’s ChatGPT for Kakao and is applying in-house technologies to personalise shopping. It is also expanding AI use in customer service, review summaries and secondhand fashion, and plans wider rollout across non-development functions while building AI literacy.
