Nvidia AI CPU \'Vera\' posts first benchmark results, close to AMD EPYC
Nvidia\'s next-generation AI-focused CPU, Vera, delivered performance close to AMD\'s top-end EPYC lineup in public benchmarks, and led in some areas. Tests cited by online outlet Gigazine showed strong single-socket results and near dual-socket flagship EPYC performance in some code compilation tasks. The benchmarks were based on measurements by Linux-focused outlet Phoronix. Vera uses Nvidia-designed Olympus cores, supports FP8 and PCIe 6 and is aimed at data centres.

Dell unveils major infrastructure upgrades to speed data centre modernisation in AI era
Dell Technologies unveiled a wide range of new products aimed at data centre modernisation as artificial intelligence adoption accelerates. Announced at Dell Technologies World 2026 in Las Vegas, the updates span storage, servers, security and automation to support AI workloads. Dell introduced the PowerStore Elite storage platform and expanded its 18th-generation PowerEdge server portfolio. It also launched new cyber-resilience offerings and updated private cloud and automation software.

AMD CEO says CPU-GPU split in agentic AI nears 1-to-1, CPUs could grow larger
AMD Chief Executive Lisa Su (리사 수) said the ratio of CPUs to GPUs in agentic AI applications is moving closer to 1-to-1 from previous levels such as 1-to-4 or 1-to-8. She added that as the number of agents keeps rising, CPUs could eventually outnumber GPUs. Asked whether rising CPU demand would eat into the GPU market, she said the two are complementary and are bringing additional growth to the overall market.
