Hana Financial to improve graves and visiting environment at Seoul and Daejeon national cemeteries
Hana Financial Group will work with South Korea\'s Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to refurbish aging headstones and improve the visiting environment at national cemeteries. The group signed a business agreement on Aug. 10 at Seoul National Cemetery in Dongjak district to mark the 81st anniversary of liberation. The project covers about 2,000 stone markers at areas including the patriots\' section at Daejeon National Cemetery and the service members\' section at Seoul National Cemetery. It also plans to install 15 smart shade shelters.

SK Broadband CEO Kim Sung-soo joins Dorimcheon cleanup
SK Broadband said on Thursday its employees carried out volunteer work to clean up the area around Dorimcheon in Seoul\'s Dongjak district. About 40 employees, including CEO Kim Sung-soo (김성수), collected litter along the river and removed invasive harmful plants such as bur cucumber and Japanese hop. Kim said he hoped the activity would help create a pleasant waterfront environment and preserve the ecosystem, and pledged to continue volunteer work.

Korea post office evolves into everyday safety infrastructure beyond delivery
Cases are rising of postal carriers acting as a local safety net, from helping at traffic accidents to stopping fires and preventing voice phishing losses. Korea’s Postal Service said carriers’ roles are expanding beyond reporting incidents to early response and support for elderly and isolated households. It has institutionalised regular home visits through a welfare parcel programme and piloted cash delivery of local subsidies for older residents.
