After a year with iPadOS 26, a full-time user picks pros and cons

More than a year after its release, Apple’s iPadOS 26 is being rated as the biggest software improvement in iPad history in terms of productivity, a report said. A user who relies on an iPad Pro as a main work computer praised freer window management, improved Dock behavior and better file handling with the Files and Preview apps. The same user cited frequent crashes, unstable window placement and reduced Slide Over multitasking, along with several usability bugs.

GM unveils mid-size electric off-roader concept Hummer X

General Motors has unveiled the GMC Hummer X, a mid-size electric off-road concept presented in SUV and pickup forms. Electrek reported the vehicle is not intended for mass production and serves as a platform to test new GM technologies. GM highlighted a low centre of gravity, instant acceleration and off-road hardware. The concept was designed in Pasadena, California, and includes a Hummer Hub app suite and a reconnaissance drone.

Humble Robotics unveils driverless Level 4 electric Class 8 \'Humble Hauler\'

Humble Robotics has unveiled the Humble Hauler, an electric autonomous freight platform that removes the driver’s seat entirely. The Class 8 platform targets closed or controlled logistics environments such as warehouses, rail yards and ports, focusing on repetitive hub-to-hub moves rather than long-haul highways. The modular design can be lengthened or shortened and supports multiple configurations. The company is running pilots with logistics and supply-chain firms and raised $24 million in seed funding led by Eclipse.
