U.S. Federal Reserve researchers assessed prediction market platform Kalshi as a useful tool for measuring macroeconomic expectations, saying it offers high-frequency updates and detailed probability distributions. A paper found Kalshi improved CPI expectations versus the Bloomberg consensus and produced more accurate policy-rate forecasts than fed funds futures on the eve of decisions. The authors said surveys and derivatives have limits and called the analysis preliminary and not directly used for monetary policy.

Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon said there is still a long way to go on U.S. legislation covering market structure for digital assets, Cointelegraph reported. The bill addresses tokenisation and stablecoin regulation, but debate in the U.S. Senate Banking Committee has been delayed after Coinbase voiced opposition. Solomon said Goldman is closely watching the legislation’s progress. He has also met industry figures, pointing to possible interest in prediction markets.
