Capital markets shift to digital as speakers discuss integration with green finance
A seminar in Seoul discussed strategies to integrate digital capital markets with green digital finance as the spread of digital assets accelerates changes across capital-market issuance, distribution, payments and custody. The event, co-hosted by the Korea Fintech Industry Association and Yonsei University’s Graduate School of Environmental Finance, examined domestic policy tasks and directions for Asian cooperation. Speakers addressed token securities, stablecoins, carbon-credit digitisation and blockchain-based infrastructure.

South Korea to become technology contributor beyond trading, Ethereum Korea Consortium launches
The Ethereum Korea Consortium launched in Seoul on April 14, saying it will serve as a private-sector cooperation platform linking the Korean and global Ethereum ecosystems. Formed around Web3 community builder Nonce Classic, the group includes 10 companies and will divide work across community, infrastructure, institutional bridge, and media and content. It plans a flagship conference in September and will allocate half of member sponsorship funds to grants for developer communities and Ethereum public goods.

DSRV secures strategic investment from Kyobo Group to explore blockchain use in finance
Blockchain infrastructure firm DSRV said on Tuesday it has secured a strategic investment from Kyobo Group. DSRV and Kyobo Group plan to jointly review the potential use of blockchain technology within the financial industry and to 추진 related cooperation tasks in stages. The areas include building stablecoin-based payment, settlement and clearing infrastructure, linking custody and validator infrastructure, and conducting joint research and proof-of-concept and demonstration projects.
