South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) will recruit companies from April 6 to 24 to join a 2026 first-half cyber crisis response drill. The drill will run for two weeks from May 11 to 22. It will cover hacking emails, DDoS training, simulated penetration and vulnerability detection and response. Participants will receive tailored reports and guides, with awards for top performers.

South Korea\'s Financial Supervisory Service urged internet banks and other financial firms to strengthen IT internal controls and overhaul accident-prevention systems. The regulator told executives to tighten procedures for program changes, including impact analysis, testing and third-party verification, and to bolster controls throughout deployment. It also called for securing electronic finance infrastructure capacity, reviewing emergency response, and enhancing consumer protection measures after system failures while preparing for cyber threats.
