AhnLab said on April 28 it has been selected for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy-led 2026 K-Export Star 500 programme.

The 2026 K-Export Star 500 programme is aimed at fostering 500 export-leading companies over the next five years. Its core is to select promising firms with global competitiveness and support overseas expansion and export growth.

AhnLab said it was selected after being recognised for export competitiveness and growth potential, based on overseas business growth focused on key countries including Saudi Arabia, China, Taiwan and Japan, its strategy to expand global markets, and its localisation-based operating capabilities.

It also stressed that a broad product lineup was rated highly for competitiveness in flexibly responding to differing IT environments and security requirements by country. The lineup includes the SaaS security threat analysis platform AhnLab XDR, the next-generation threat intelligence platform AhnLab TIP, the OT-dedicated endpoint security solution AhnLab EPS, the next-generation network security solution AhnLab XTG, and the DDoS response-dedicated solution AhnLab DPX.

AhnLab said it will use resources secured through the programme for global marketing, securing certifications and patents, technology consulting and overseas sales activities. It plans to build on that. It also plans to expand overseas business centered on strategic countries including Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, and on China and Japan.
