Hana Financial holds Incheon mid-career re-employment fair with on-site interviews at 20 firms

Hana Financial Group held a job fair in Incheon to support re-employment for mid-career job seekers, with 20 local small but strong companies taking part. The event offered one-on-one on-site interviews and programs to help participants gain digital work experience and prepare for job searches. Cleon unveils AI role-play solution with Samsung Life Insurance

AI startup Cleon will unveil an AI role-play solution it jointly developed with Samsung Life Insurance at the Samsung Financial Networks booth at Try Everything 2026 in Seoul on Sept. 9-10. The company said it is the first case of its Human Interaction AI being applied in practice at a financial workplace. The solution has AI act as a customer and talk with users in real time to train repeatedly across consultation scenarios.

Bae Kyung-hoon says quantum is next after AI, to play key role in future society

Bae Kyung-hoon (배경훈), deputy prime minister and science minister, said quantum technology could be the next national growth engine after AI and should be fostered through large-scale investment. Speaking at the opening of Quantum Korea 2026 in Seoul, he said current AI computing requires high costs and power and could face limits. He said advances and commercialisation in computing are essential for AGI to enter daily life and cited uses of quantum technology in sensing and encryption.
