Czech central bank governor says bitcoin could also be a reserve asset
The Czech National Bank governor released internal analysis showing that allocating 1 percent of foreign exchange reserves to bitcoin would raise expected returns while leaving overall portfolio risk largely unchanged. Speaking at a Bitcoin 2026 conference in Las Vegas, he again argued for holding bitcoin to diversify reserves, citing its low long-term correlation with other reserve assets. He acknowledged bitcoin could fall to zero and said avoiding overconcentration is key.
