Cyera acquires Israeli AI agent data lake startup Ryft Data
Cyera, an AI and data security company, has acquired Israeli startup Ryft Data, SiliconANGLE reported on April 23, citing Globes. Globes cited sources as saying the deal is valued at an estimated $100 million to $130 million. Founded in 2024, Ryft develops an automated data lake platform for deploying AI agents, analyzing how employees and AI agents access data and automating authorization, classification and optimization.

Cohesity to extend enterprise AI resilience with AI workloads, evolving from backup to data insights platform
AI-based data security company Cohesity is accelerating its Enterprise AI Resilience strategy, extending data protection and security capabilities into the AI ecosystem. CEO Sanjay Poonen (산제이 푸넨) said companies need confidence they can manage AI-driven risks and recover quickly from disruptions. Cohesity said it protects AI and agent infrastructure, supports sensitive-data governance and integrates with ServiceNow and Datadog for API-based recovery. It also plans AI analytics on protected data and announced MCP-based federated semantic search and the Cohesity Gaia Catalog.

Cohesity updates key product lines to strengthen enterprise AI resilience
AI-based data security company Cohesity said on March 12 it updated its data protection and security portfolio to strengthen the foundation for enterprise AI resilience. The updates, unveiled at its Cohesity Catalyst on Tour event, include new sovereign cloud partnerships, upgraded threat detection and simplified packaging aimed at enabling mid-sized firms to use enterprise-grade capabilities. It also introduced an Enterprise AI Resilience strategy and a Cyera-based DSPM solution.
