Nvidia, Cisco and others seek joint reporting framework for AI agent security incidents

More than 120 organisations including Nvidia, Cisco and CrowdStrike are pursuing a joint framework to systematically report and record security incidents involving AI agents. A draft guideline for the Shared AI Findings Exchange would require members to report unauthorised access, attacks on third-party systems, confidentiality breaches and certain near misses. It also calls for preserving detailed logs and notifying victims quickly, with initial confidential reporting within 4 business days.

Security stocks jump on AI attack fears; CrowdStrike, Palo Alto hit record highs

Shares of CrowdStrike and Palo Alto Networks rose more than 5 percent on Aug. 10, both hitting record highs. Buying spread across the sector as demand for AI security tools grew, CNBC reported. BTIG said AI agents are reshaping the threat landscape and the attack environment has worsened, while adoption of AI security tools remains early. BTIG raised price targets for Palo Alto, CrowdStrike and Rubrik.
