Palo Alto Networks and NTT Data Group have signed a multi-year global alliance that aims to generate $1 billion in revenue from joint business by the end of 2029.

SiliconANGLE reported on Aug. 20 that the agreement is Palo Alto Networks' first partnership signed with a global systems integrator.

Under the alliance, Palo Alto Networks' security platform will be provided to NTT Data's consulting, engineering and managed services customers.

The two companies will also make joint investments. The agreement includes a dedicated go-to-market framework, a joint engineering roadmap and NTT Data's early access to pre-release functions. Palo Alto Networks will also assign dedicated field engineers.

The two companies already launched a joint managed cybersecurity service in 2024. NTT Data is also one of the five founding members of the Frontier AI Alliance launched by Palo Alto Networks in April.

The area they are emphasizing most in this cooperation is an autonomous security operations center that combines EvenTik AI tools with NTT Data's managed detection and response personnel.

The first joint service will be applied first to financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and the public sector. The alliance is not an exclusive contract, so NTT Data will continue reselling competing platforms, including CrowdStrike's Falcon.
