AI education, industry-academia ties to back 4.5 quadrillion won mega projects, Bae Kyung-hoon says

South Korea will strengthen AI education and industry-academia cooperation to train talent to support three mega projects worth 4.5 quadrillion won, Deputy Prime Minister Bae Kyung-hoon said. He said AI investment must be matched by talent to conduct research and apply it in the field. Bae said the government is pursuing follow-up plans and building a base for cooperation to attract foreign capital. He also urged closer links between university research and industrial deployment.

Mobilint unveils AI solutions for real-time video analysis and security monitoring

AI semiconductor company Mobilint said on July 28 it will take part in the information protection and cybersecurity exhibition ISEC 2026 in Seoul on Aug. 11-12 and unveil its NPU-based security solutions. The company said the security industry is shifting toward intelligent systems that detect and respond to risks in real time. It will demonstrate real-time video analysis, AI security monitoring and multi-channel video processing, and plans to expand customers and partnerships.
