Public cloud security certification overhaul seen opening door to global firms

South Korea will unify the certification system that assesses reliability and stability when private cloud providers serve public institutions into a single verification framework aligned with the National Intelligence Service’s N2SF from the second half of 2027. The Ministry of Science and ICT’s CSAP will be abolished and integrated into N2SF. The overhaul is expected to lower entry hurdles for certification and expand room for global cloud firms in the public sector.
