Intel launches Arc G-series processors for handheld gaming PCs
Intel has entered the dedicated processor market for handheld gaming devices, unveiling its Intel Arc G-series processors aimed at portable gaming systems. The lineup includes the Intel Arc G3 and Intel Arc G3 Extreme, based on the Core Ultra Series 3 Panther Lake architecture and built on Intel\'s 18A process. They feature a mix of P-cores and E-cores, integrated Arc B390 graphics, XeSS 3 support and connectivity such as Wi-Fi 7 R2 and Thunderbolt 4.

Handheld game consoles seen shifting from affordable alternatives as prices rise
Handheld game consoles are moving into price ranges that make them harder to view as inexpensive alternatives, according to an analysis. Devices that once let users play PC and console games at relatively low cost are seeing sharp price increases, including Valve’s Steam Deck and Nintendo’s Switch 2. The Verge cited higher memory and storage costs, tariffs and higher oil prices. As prices climb, the market is shifting toward higher-priced, discretionary hobby devices.

Voice spam doubles in 2025 H2 after mobile handset subsidy law repeal
The Korea Communications Commission and the Korea Internet & Security Agency on May 14 released data on spam distribution in the second half of 2025. A survey of 3,000 mobile phone and email users aged 12 to 69 found average monthly spam received per person rose to 10.35 messages, up 30.8 percent from the first half. Voice spam doubled, while text spam and related reports and detections fell sharply.
