Voice spam doubles in 2025 H2 after mobile handset subsidy law repeal
The Korea Communications Commission and the Korea Internet & Security Agency on May 14 released data on spam distribution in the second half of 2025. A survey of 3,000 mobile phone and email users aged 12 to 69 found average monthly spam received per person rose to 10.35 messages, up 30.8 percent from the first half. Voice spam doubled, while text spam and related reports and detections fell sharply.

Com2uS Holdings posts 9.9 billion won Q1 operating loss, seeks turnaround with new game launches
Com2uS Holdings posted a first-quarter loss, reporting revenue of 17.1 billion won and an operating loss of 9.9 billion won on a consolidated basis. It said losses including valuation losses on affiliates weighed on results, while its standalone figures showed revenue of 12.9 billion won and operating profit of 2.9 billion won. The company plans to strengthen its game lineup with more than 10 new titles through year-end.

SparkLabs launches Spark Claw program to back solo AI-native founders
Startup accelerator SparkLabs said on April 28 it will launch Spark Claw, an accelerating programme for solo AI founders and small teams. The programme aims to find and nurture “AI-native” entrepreneurs who use AI as a practical team member, not just a tool. The company said the move marks its first expansion of its investment philosophy into solo-founder investing. Selected founders can receive up to 100 million won in initial investment after a bootcamp and final review.
