Cisco shares fall despite profit, revenue forecast beating expectations
Cisco shares fell even after the company reported results and issued a revenue outlook above market expectations. Cisco forecast quarterly revenue of $18.2 billion, compared with its previous view of $18.0 billion and an LSEG consensus estimate of $16.8 billion. Profit guidance for the quarter also beat expectations and annual guidance was strong, but the stock declined in after-hours trading after a sharp rise ahead of earnings.
