Kakao launches Card Receipts shopping points promotion offering up to 10,000 points
Kakao said on Tuesday it will expand benefits for its KakaoTalk Card Receipts service and run a shopping points promotion. Card Receipts lets users manage transaction histories from multiple card issuers in one place and receive approvals and receipts via KakaoTalk channel alerts. The promotion runs through Oct. 29, awarding points for signing up, linking cards, adding channels and inviting friends. Users can also join a monthly draw for up to 10,000 points.

KakaoMap teams up with Hyundai, marine ministry to mark sea forests on maps
Kakao is partnering with Hyundai Motor and South Korea\'s Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to mark the locations of domestic sea forests on its map service for the first time and to run a donation campaign for marine ecosystem conservation. Kakao said on May 6 that KakaoMap will join the \'Nameless Forest\' campaign. The project assigns place names to sea forests and reflects them on maps ahead of Sea Forest Day on May 10.

KakaoFriends unveils \'Chunsusan\' fish market-themed goods
KakaoFriends, run by Kakao, is launching \'Chunsusan\' themed goods featuring a storyline in which Chunsik becomes a fish market vendor, the company said on Thursday. The 25 items include dolls, key rings and figures as well as home items such as sauce bowls, soju glasses and chopsticks. The goods go on sale through KakaoFriends stores, KakaoTalk Gift and W Concept. KakaoFriends will also hold events and release new KakaoTalk emoticons.
