Euro stablecoin project Kibalis adds 25 banks ahead of launch

European banking consortium Kibalis has secured 25 additional banks across 15 countries, raising participating institutions to 37. It plans to launch a regulated euro stablecoin aligned with the European Union crypto regulatory framework MiCA in the second half of 2026, Cointelegraph reported. New members include ABN AMRO, Rabobank, Nordea and Intesa Sanpaolo. Spain had the most additions with five banks, while several other countries added two each.

Google unveils audio-based smart glasses, set for release this year

Google will launch new AI-based smart glasses developed with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster. TechCrunch reported that Google unveiled the lineup at its annual I/O developer conference and said it plans to release it this year. The device connects with both Android and iOS devices and was designed in collaboration with Samsung Electronics. Users can issue voice commands and use Google apps and services, including Gemini.

Kulipa raises $6.2 million seed to pursue U.S. expansion

Paris-based stablecoin card issuance infrastructure platform Kulipa has raised $6.2 million in seed funding as it moves to enter the U.S. market. The round was co-led by Flourish Ventures and 1kx, with participation from White Star Capital and Fabric Ventures, and closed in December. The funding brings Kulipa’s total capital raised to $9.2 million. The company said it has issued more than 120,000 cards since launching its infrastructure in February 2025.
