[DigitalToday reporter Chi-kyu Hwang] Apple Cash instant transfer fees will rise from Feb. 18, 9to5Mac reported on Jan. 23 local time.
Apple Cash has become a fast and simple way for iPhone users to send money to each other. A recent iOS 26 update also made it available in Messages group chats. Typical Apple Cash transactions have no fee, but a fee applies if users choose instant transfer.
The current instant transfer fee is 1.5 percent, capped at a minimum of $0.25 and a maximum of $15. From Feb. 18, the fee will rise to 1.7 percent and the maximum fee will increase to $25.
Standard bank transfers, by contrast, have no fee but take 1 to 3 days to process.
