Risk assets slide as oil rises; bitcoin pulls back below $80,000
Bitcoin retreated to about $77,600 after failing to break the $80,000 level, down 0.7 percent since midnight UTC, CoinDesk reported. Risk assets weakened as oil rose 1.5 percent to $103 a barrel after reports the United States seized three Iranian tankers in Asian waters. Ether fell 2.5 percent to $2,320. Futures open interest eased but remained high, while negative perpetual funding pointed to bearish leverage.

Grayscale sees attractive altcoin entry levels, names Ethereum and Solana
Grayscale has analysed that altcoin prices have recently moved into a range where buying could become more attractive. It cited Ethereum, Solana, Chainlink, Sui and Avalanche. Grayscale said some major altcoins have entered more favourable price levels in the bear market that has continued since the fourth quarter of 2025, while global economic uncertainty persists amid war-related tensions. It also pointed to diverging performance versus traditional markets and said volatility could continue.

Chainlink whale withdrawals rise but price stays weak for seventh month, no rebound signal yet
Whale withdrawal transactions from Binance in Chainlink (LINK) increased, but the token recorded a monthly decline for a seventh straight month. CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost said the top 10 whale withdrawal transactions surged twice in a day, with each exceeding 8,000 LINK. Wallets holding at least 1,000 LINK rose to 25,420, the highest since early December 2025. Spot ETF inflows topped $98 million, but monthly inflows fell to about $10.8 million in March.
