\"We support your new beginning\" - Letter-writing contest winners announced
Korea Post’s Postal Human Resources Development Institute announced on Wednesday the winners of the 2026 Korea Letter-Writing Contest. The contest ran from May to June under the theme of letters supporting someone’s new beginning. About 11,600 handwritten letters were submitted nationwide, more than 30 percent higher than last year. After preliminary and final judging, the institute selected 80 winners across seven categories, including individual and group prizes.

OpenAI to train young social welfare leaders in AI agents
OpenAI will join the CMK Social Welfare Innovation Leader Academy as a partner and provide AI agent-based, problem-solving training, it said on Sunday. The programme is hosted by the Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation and run by Seoul National University’s Social Innovation Impact Lab. Participants include 30 university and graduate students and field practitioners. OpenAI will hold a hands-on hackathon on July 25 using ChatGPT and Codex.

Workplace robot acceptance rises but hospitals and schools differ
Public acceptance of robots is rising at workplaces but is not extending to caregiving settings such as hospitals and schools, a Hexagon survey cited by TechRadar showed. UK adults were most open to robots for practical, physically demanding or hazardous tasks, while most said care for patients, older people and children should be done by humans. Views differed by question framing, robot appearance and regulatory expectations, with exposure to robots also varying by country.
