[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] AI audio research and development startup ElevenLabs said on Tuesday that senior care specialist Caring has adopted the ElevenLabs Agents Platform and is expanding its AI emotional care service.
Caring is also planning to enter global markets after adopting the ElevenLabs solution.
Caring operates an AI-based service called AI emotional care that calls older people who are alone outside the hours when caregivers visit and provides regular conversations.
Caring ran a first pilot project of the ElevenLabs Agents Platform from November to December last year and a second expanded pilot project in January. In the first pilot, it achieved a 100 percent call completion rate, a 0 percent call refusal rate and an average call length of 4 minutes 22 seconds, with a maximum of 10 minutes. In the second pilot, it recorded 120 outbound calls and a 100 percent re-participation rate.
Caring CEO Tae-sung Kim (김태성) said, "With the rising elderly population and a shortage of care workers, concerns about gaps in care are growing, and we need to actively adopt AI technology to reduce gaps in care for older people." He added, "Through ElevenLabs' TTS solution, we are protecting seniors' self-esteem and filling the empty time in care. Through this, we are expanding the expertise of care that only people can provide."
Sang-won Hong (홍상원), head of ElevenLabs Korea, said, "The ElevenLabs Agents Platform provides a reliable conversational experience and supports the empty time in care that is difficult to fill with staff alone, thereby helping Caring preserve the human side of care."
